PROTOCOL CONVERTERS

Ethernet/Fieldbus, Ethernet/MPI, Serial/Fieldbus

The netTAP gateway family simply and efficiently merges two protocols into each other. Whether its a simple serial bus, a classic Fieldbus or one of the many Real-Time-Ethernet protocols, netTAP provides a common platform for a transparent conversion of any protocol of industrial automation. For plants recently upgraded using Fieldbus or modernized with Real-Time-Ethernet, netTAP enables the use of existing and proven field devices still by simply interfacing between the new and old technology.
The modular device design combines the two network interfaces in a DIN-rail mountable housing. NetTAP is configured and diagnosed by a universal FDT/DTM based configuration tool suite.
LED indicators are visualizing status information for rapid onsite diagnostics. The protocolconversion are preprogrammed and loaded as firmware onto the device on demand. Because of the same physical network interface all Real-Time-Ethernet protocols can be managed by one single device variant.

netTAP 50 the low-cost Gateway

netTAP 50 is a protocol converter for simple conversions. It supports conversions of 1-port Real-Time-Ethernet to Fieldbus to serial automation protocols and realizes slave to slave and slave to master combinations. As a master netTAP 50 provides full master functionality to a single slave. This enables an effortless integration of a single field device into the superordinated network.

netTAP 100/151 - Gateway without limits

netTAP 100 is the protocol converter for sophisticated conversions and manages next to serial to Fieldbus to 2-port Real-Time-Ethernet also Fieldbus to Fieldbus conversions. It supports slave and master functionality in any combination. There is no restriction on the master functionality. There is a memory card slot integrated, allowing the user to save the rmware and conguration data on a removable card.

NETLINK MPI

The netLINK has a housing shape that fits in the PG sockets of the Siemens S7-300 and S7-400 controls. Ethernet: 10/100MBd with 16 connections. MPI/PROFIBUS-DP (up to 12MBd), DB9-connector, up to 32 MPI-connections. Protocol: IBH-Link for STEP®7 and RFC 1006. Power supply: 24VDC or via PG socket. Suitable for the use with STEP®7 of SIEMENS.

NETLINK PROXY

NetLINK PROXY integrates any PROFIBUS-DP slave in a superordinated PROFINET network. As a connector the device is plugged directly on to the PROFIBUS-DP interface of the DP-Slave and connects to the PROFINET network via the RJ45 socket. On PROFINET side netLINK behaves like an ordinary I/O device. The DP-Slaves process data is mapped in accordance with the present PI-organisations guideline into the PROFINET slot/subslot addressing model. Commissioning is done via the PROFINET.
